Miracles happened in Honduras

May 6, 2012

I am going to start off by giving thanks to God for the wonderful opportunity I had of serving in Honduras this year. It was a challenging experience which proved to me one more time that God is truly in control of our life. I took off to an unknown place, with minimal Spanish skills, and people I barely knew, trusting and relying on the Lord for vivid miracles to happen. And so it happened. I worked mostly with VBS team and I saw many children rejoicing infinitely just by receiving a goody bag and playing with the missionaries. I also witnessed many of them receiving Christ in their heart and praying for their broken, poor families. “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Mark 10:15.

This verse actually followed me throughout the mission trip. Because in the mist of that tropical heat, deprived neighborhoods, and gun armed store owners, those children appeared as the most genuine creatures of Honduras. And any person can become genuine if they find their identity in the Lord. Now I pray for all those people I met in city of Tela, Honduras. I pray for the kids as well as for the single Moms, young women, sick men I met during our home visits project. I pray I can go back and minister to them again along with my friends from Chicago.

May God give us strength and wisdom to pursue His plan of spreading the Gospel all over the world.
